Modern Family

One Modern Family episode a day keeps the boredom away.

I started watching Modern Family last year and it has kept me happy throughout the year. Every single epsiode evokes a series of giggles and sometimes a burst of laughter.

What I like the most about Modern Family is that it talks about the realistic struggles that families face. It shows how messy families can be and how they are doing their best to stick together. I remember the episode where Claire wants to show-off the benefits of having a good family to her friend and when she comes home with her friend, her home is a mess. There are so many embarassing things that happen and I saw that and I thought this is so real. Then she storms out of the house and realises how much she loves everyone in her family and comes back.

Also the epsiode where Alex comes home from college and no one is celebrating her homecoming, forget celebrating, they actually forget that she’s going to be back today even after she gave multiple reminders. And in the end they show how everyone was also having their bad days and dealing with their own struggles.

To be honest, watching Modern Family made living with my own family more bearable because I realised these are the common struggles all families go through.

Maybe we are the way we are because of the people we’re with or maybe, we just pick the people we need. However it works, when you find each other you should never let go.

My mostttt favourite character from Modern Family is undoubtedly Phil Dunphy! Sorry Luke, but Phil is the cutest! The best. The below quote by Phil is my motto in life.

I loved the episode where he accepts the fact that his children are growing up and he needs to let them ‘fly’. Yes! The episode with three ducks. I like how he talks to Alex and encourages her to loosen up and have fun.

Never be afraid to reach for the stars because even if you fall, you’ll be wearing a Parent-chute.

Every character has their own story to tell. A story people could relate to. Like the way Jay advocates tough-love and how Gloria is overprotective and loving. How Claire is competitive and Phil is kind and sometimes gullible. Even if the characters have these few highlighted qualities, there is so much more to them than this.

I’ve always seen life like a series of doors. Sometimes you get to choose the door you go through, sometimes you don’t get that choice. But you still gotta walk through. So you can either go kicking and screaming or walk through with your head held high.

I also love that episode where they talk about dreamers and realists, as in how they compliment eachother.

There are dreamers and there are realists in this world. You’d think the dreamers would find the dreamers and the realists would find the realists, but more often than not, the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists, well, without the dreamers, they might never get off the ground.

Beautiful stories, funny moments, touching memories, best characters, lots of love!!! If you haven’t watched Modern Family yet, I urge you to pleaseee watch it. You won’t regret it. Maybe you will end up binge watching it for longgg time. As I once did.
