Right thing

Sometimes you are the bad guy
Sometimes you hurt others
Sometimes you act in a rude way

When you realise it was your fault,
What do you do?

You feel the urge to blame others
You feel the urge to deny everything
You feel the urge to argue and fight

But in those moments
You deep down know
It was your doing

Instead of trying to cover it and protect your “ego”
Take some time to reflect

To see where you went wrong,
To understand why you did what you did

And finally

Accept your doing and apologise and improve henceforth

Personal development is hard, but that’s what counts

Sometimes the best thing you can do is accept the responsibility for your actions. Even if you feel embarrassed for a while, you feel a weight of “not apologising” lifted from your heart. That matters in the long run….

We just need to get over our strong resisting ego and do what is right.

  3. Thoughtful read. However, I would like to add that not every “right thing” is universal. One’s right thing might be wrong from another’s point of view. So, the question is how do you decide what is right? Give it a thought Vrunda. Good day. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

    1. I don’t want everyone to do the same thing. But there’s this little voice inside of all of us that tells us what is right and many a times due to our ego and situations we ignore that. That voice is loving and kind. We need to get up and have courage to listen to that voice and not to our ego ( not always… But many a times)

    1. Yeahhh! Exactly
I wanted to talk about all the ego-related behaviours
And whyyy we need to give up on that for our self development.
