She needed love

She saw glimpses of it in him

She gave him all she got

He hurt her and left

She spent the rest of her life thinking there’s something wrong with her

How could you blame it, my child?

Your need of love,

Your need of belonging

Your need of emotional connection?

    Just amazing…”She” could be replaced with “He” . “Him” with “Her” and still your poem will convey the same message! very beautifully written…

      Yes! It can be interchanged. It’s more about learning to acknowledge our needs of love and belonging. And knowing it’s okay to need love

        Honestly, I’ve never tried poetry before… I don’t even know if what I write is real poetry… I just want get my message out there.. so I do just focus on it being easy to understand..

    Everyone out there deserves to be loved back. Period. If one is not getting their share of love, they should know that they are with wrong person and should detach from the feelings. Leaving some person is easy than getting detached from the feelings for that person. However making one of the choices is necessary. Well written Vrunda! 👍

      Umm… I think love is about choice… Like wether or not someone chooses to love you.. it’s not about deserving love.. like everyone is free to choose whom to love.. it’s good if other person chooses you as well but not necessary you ‘deserve’ their love just because you love them… maybe they choose to choose someone else.. And yes, we all need love and we shouldn’t feel bad for searching it..❤️

        I consider that a one side love which eventually lead to pain. One should stay away from that kind of love. Yes, love happens unknowingly but at some stage everything becomes clear and that’s the time to rethink. I really don’t know if we are on the same page. 😅
