I want to study!!

I have my abnormal psychology paper tomorrow and I need to prepare 8 whole lessons and many many disorders!

And as I read some sentences, different thoughts pop up in my mind and I spend a lot of time thinking about nonsense stuff…..

I need a break!

I put on my headphones…

And as I select which song to play…

Shake it off by Taylor Swift pops up…

I hit play

And close my eyes and focus on the song…

I stay up too late,

Yeah.. I need to stay up tonight.. studying…

Got nothing in my brain

Lol. So true

That’s what people say….

Oh!

And

As she says..

Shake shake shake

Shake shake shake….

Shake it off
Shake it off…

And I imagine myself shaking off those thoughts…

And then she goes..

It’s like I got this music..

In my mind saying it’s gonna be alright….

I remind myself –

It’s gonna be alright!

And then I find it easier to continue with my studies…

Every time my mind wanders… I find myself shaking off those thoughts and reminding myself that everything will be okay❤


Music lovers can maybe relate to this.. it’s easier to feel and understand the lyrics in music than telling yourself the same thing..

My exams are finally over and I’m back!

I’m reading some really wonderful books this vacation.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It is a story about twin sisters – Wren and Cath who are now entering University and it’s about the experiences they get there. Wren wants to go to parties, meet guys and have fun. It’s not so easy for Cath. She is introvert and writes fanfiction.

It’s a tale of fanfiction, family and first love

Outliers by Malcom Gladwell. I’ve started reading this yesterday and believe me I don’t want to put it down. It’s soooo interesting. He talks about the factors essential for success in life. He talks about 10,000 hour rule, Matthew effect and much interesting stuff. I am having a great time reading this.

I have also ordered some positive psychology books.

Daring Greatly by Bernè Brown seems awesome!

She talks about her research on vulnerability and shame. I loved her Ted talks. I was excited to read her books.

It’s so much fun during vacations… I just wish the weather was cooler here 😅

    1. Exactly!!!! I can understand how you feel. This happens every time right? And we’re like.. we tell our brain that we are studying just for the exams, so let that happen peacefully! Without the disturbance of thoughts 😅😂

  1. Before exams I prayed and made sure I got in early met with others who were equally concerned about getting it right. We shared our strong points and aced every exam. It was always something I missed that one of the others focused on that put it over the top. Just saying.

    1. Even we did that! Getting together and planning how to study, what are the important questions we need to prepare and all.. these memories are a important part of our college life!🙌💕

  2. Hi, Vrunda. I am so happy you are back. And I hope your exams went good! I relate to this so much! Lately it’s been so much difficult for me to concentrate on my studies. Everytime i open the book, my mind wanders off to different places. Music helps me a lot, really. I read some motivational quotes, listen to motivational songs to gain my energy😂😂❤️
